Bath Sands
St Stephens

Local Support

Bath Sands was founded in 2011, We work in the area served by the Royal United Hospital, supporting bereaved parents by telephone, email and in face-to-face support groups. We also supply precious memory boxes to the hospital so that every bereaved parent can make memories of their beloved child. In addition, we support midwife bereavement care by sharing our stories of stillbirth and neonatal death.

Bath Sands support group meetings are open to anyone who has been affected by the loss of a baby, whether recent or long ago. Feel free to bring a relative or friend to support you. We are bereaved parents and we offer a safe space and a listening ear.

The meetings are held at St Stephen's Church , Lansdown, Bath, BA1 5SX. Drop in anytime between 7pm and 9pm. Come in through the big white door at the front of the church.

We meet on the first Tuesday of every month. We know that attending your first support meeting can be daunting. Please feel free to contact us first before attending, so we can talk you through what to expect and to ensure a warm welcome when you do attend. You can contact us via email: Bath@sandsvolunteer.org.uk or message us on Facebook,

We know that these meeting dates might not be suitable for you, or you may wish to speak to someone about your baby today. You can always access immediate support from the Sands Helpline team – their contact details are below.
